Previously, the “Archived Resident” module provided limited viewing capabilities. In order to see much of the information for an archived resident, it was necessary to activate their record. This created the possibility of forgetting to re-archive the resident later, causing inaccurate resident census counts, details on reports and in an emergency situation.
Our enhanced functionality now allows users to view more information while a resident is still archived. All the tabs in the Resident module can be viewed without changing a resident’s status to “Active”. As always, fields are not available for editing.
This change greatly reduces the possibility that someone will activate a resident, then forget to change their status back to “Archived”.
The former system also only allowed for certain fields of data to be searchable for “Archived Residents”. In the event of an active resident being accidentally archived, this made the process of searching through the archived records more difficult. With the new enhancements, you now have more fields to view in an archived resident record, including:
Previous Viewable Fields:
-
-
-
- First Name
- Last Name
- Unit
- Date of Birth
- Apartment Number
- Date of Admission
-
-
New (Additional) Viewable Fields:
-
-
-
- Medicare Number
- Primary Diagnosis
- Allergies
- Secondary Diagnosis
-
-
These handy reports are also available within the “Archived Residents” module. You’ll find links in the left sidebar of the module for:
