Assisted Living Administrators
Biennial renewal of certification is required. During the period, prior to renewal, of at least twenty-four (24) classroom hours of continuing education courses approved by the board. All educational courses sponsored by the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators (NAB) and continuing education approved courses sponsored by State and/or national associations that focus on geriatric care are board approved.
Nursing Home Administrators
All persons licensed by the Board must renew their licenses to be allowed to lawfully continue in practice. Although licensure renewal is required on a biennial basis, all licensees must attend and complete the continuing education requirements on this rule annually, on a calendar year basis, as a prerequisite to licensure renewal. All Licensees must attend and complete eighteen (18) clock hours of Board approved continuing education within every calendar year. Courses offered for credit toward the required continuing education hours must either have received approval form the National Continuing Education Review Service of NAB, or be courses provided by organizations requesting and receiving approval form the Board. |
