Course Approvals

ALL Community Education courses are nationally approved and have successfully satisfied the NAB requirements for
continuing education.

All long term care administrators, such as assisted living managers and nursing home administrators can receive NAB approved continuing education. There are two states that do not automatically accept NAB approval: Kansas and Missouri.

All educational offerings have been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

Continuing Education
Requirements for Nevada

Assisted Living Administrators,
Residential Facilities for
Group Administrators,
Group Care Facilities Administrators
Receive annually not less than 8 hours of training related to providing for the needs of the residents of a residential facility.

Nursing Home Administrators
Receive biennially not less than 30 hours of training related to providing for the needs of the residents of a residential facility

Nursing
A nurse shall prove that he has participated in 30 contact hours of continuing education during the 24 months which immediately precede the nurse’s most recent birthday.

A course of continuing education
shall be deemed to be approved
by the board if the course:

Is a provider of continuing education that is recognized be another board of nursing; or is a provider of continuing education that is recognized by the regulatory body of a related discipline that approves courses of continuing education.
