Course Approvals

ALL Community Education courses are nationally approved and have successfully satisfied the NAB requirements for
continuing education.

All long term care administrators, such as assisted living managers and nursing home administrators can receive NAB approved continuing education. There are two states that do not automatically accept NAB approval: Kansas and Missouri.

All educational offerings have been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

Residential Care Facility
Licensed Residential Care Administrators shall be required to accrue twelve (12) hours of Board-approved CEUs between July 1 and June 30 of each year, in keeping with the provisions of Chapter 8. An Administrator licensed during any part of the above-mentioned period shall accumulate no less than the equivalent of one (1) CEU for each month following the month of licensure for relicensure.

Nursing Home Facilities
Nursing Home Administrators and Multi-Level Long Term Care Administrators shall be required to obtain twenty-four (24) hours of Board-approved CEUs between July 1 and June 30 of each year. An Administrator licensed during any part of the above-mentioned period shall accumulate no less than the equivalent of two (2) CEUs for each month following the month of licensure for relicensure. Home study programs shall be recognized for CEU credits when they have been reviewed and approved by NAB. CEUs shall be limited to twelve (12) per program.
