Course Approvals

ALL Community Education courses are nationally approved and have successfully satisfied the NAB requirements for
continuing education.

All long term care administrators, such as assisted living managers and nursing home administrators can receive NAB approved continuing education. There are two states that do not automatically accept NAB approval: Kansas and Missouri.

All educational offerings have been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

Requirements for Kentucky

Certified Assisted Living Communities
None specified.

Nursing Home Facilities
A minimum of thirty (30) continuing education hours shall be accrued by each person holding licensure during the two (2) year period for renewal. All continuing education hours shall be in or related to the field of nursing home administration. Programs not requiring board review and approval. Sponsored or approved by the National Association of Boards of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators (NAB) or another board of licensure which is a member of NAB.
