Course Approvals

ALL Community Education courses are nationally approved and have successfully satisfied the NAB requirements for
continuing education.

All long term care administrators, such as assisted living managers and nursing home administrators can receive NAB approved continuing education. There are two states that do not automatically accept NAB approval: Kansas and Missouri.

All educational offerings have been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

Continuing Education
Requirements for Indiana

Residential Care Facilities
Licensed Health Facility administrators must obtain at least forty-(40) hours of continuing education during each two (2) year licensing period. Continuing education credit may not be carried over from one (1) biennial licensure renewal period to another. Sponsors of programs must be approved by the Indiana State Board of Health Facility Administrators, the NAB or another state's board of health facility administrators with a mandatory continuing education requirement.

Nursing Home Facilities
