Course Approvals

All long term care administrators, such as assisted living managers and nursing home administrators can receive NAB approved continuing education. There are two states that do not automatically accept NAB approval: Kansas and Missouri.

All educational offerings have been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

Continuing Education
Requirements for Florida

Assisted Living Facility &
Elderly Residential Care
Administrators and managers shall participate in 12 hours related to
assisted living every two years.

Nursing Home Administrators
The board may by rule prescribe continuing education, not to exceed 40 hours biennially, as a condition for renewal of a license or certificate.
