Course Approvals

ALL Community Education courses are nationally approved and have successfully satisfied the NAB requirements for
continuing education.

All long term care administrators, such as assisted living managers and nursing home administrators can receive NAB approved continuing education. There are two states that do not automatically accept NAB approval: Kansas and Missouri.

All educational offerings have been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

Continuing Education
Requirements for Connecticut

Assisted Living Facilities
Assisted Living aides must complete 12 hour of continuing education per year.

Nursing Home Facilities
Licensed Nursing Home Administrators shall complete a minimum of forty hours of qualifying continuing education every two years, commencing January 1, 1004. The continuing education shall be in areas related to the licensee’s practice. Qualifying continuing education activities are: courses offered or approved by the National Continuing Education Review Services of the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators.
